After our rather late night, we slept in a bit this morning. Once we were up and about we set off for Montjuic, we took the cable car that goes up the mountain.
The views were spectacular and the castle at the top of the hill was quite pretty. There are some nice walking and mountain-biking trails up there. All in all though, I have to say our experience wasn't a good one - having read all about it in a travel-guide,we were expecting restaurants up there and the plan was to have lunch there - well there wasn't a restaurant and the only loo was a porta-loo and to top it all, it was incredibly hot and my feet were hurting. So eventually we caught the return cable car and headed to the Ramblas, where we had a really good pizza lunch and Grant and Jon had HUGE beers. On the way home Paula and I did some shopping at Sephora on Placa Catalunya.
Later on Rox and Jon went off on their food tour, while the rest of us headed for Lilla for some ice-cream and grocery shopping. Issy then had a nice play in the park before we went home for a salad supper and bed.
